Using Acknowledgments

Need proof that everyone has seen a critical update? Turn on Acknowledgment for any Story, Event, or Deadline and GroupNews will keep prompting readers until they confirm.

How it works

  • Prompts everywhere – A banner on the post, a notification in the Acknowledgments panel, and an email reminder all ask members to click “Yes, I’ve read this.”
  • Real‑time tracking – Authors can see exactly who has or hasn’t acknowledged, eliminating guesswork.

Enable acknowledgment (authors)

  • While editing your post, open Options.
  • Check Request acknowledgment.
  • Publish or submit as usual.

Check acknowledgment status (authors)

  • Open the published post.
  • Click Acknowledgments.
  • Toggle between Acknowledged and Not Yet to view member status.

Confirm you’ve read a post (members)

  • Click “Yes, I’ve read this.” on the post banner.
  • You’ll see a time‑stamped confirmation—and the reminders stop.

Acknowledgments put essential information front and center, ensuring no one misses what matters most.
