Everything you need to know about managing your GroupNews Group

Delete a Group

Only the Group owner can delete a group. If you’re not the owner of your Group, contact them for help.

Tip: If you want to rename your Group or change your Group URL, there’s no need to delete your current Group. You can do both of those things from your Group settings.

Delete a Group

Deleting a Group is permanent, so make sure you really want to do so. Stories, events, discussions, and files cannot be retrieved once a Group has been deleted.

  1. While signed in to GroupNews, click the Group name in the top left corner.
  2. Select Group settings from the menu.
  3. Scroll down to the section titled Danger Zone: Delete this Group and click Delete this Group.
  4. Enter your GroupNews account password to confirm your intent and click Delete.
